Our Team at Broomfields Farm consists of 2 Full-time staff members and 1 Part-time member of staff, plus Harriet the store's owner who can often be found working in the shop.
See our team bio's below to learn more about each member of our Team.
Harriet opened Broomfields Farm Equestrian in 2008 in the log cabin which now houses The Black Horse Cafe.
Harriet has her own horse Toby, who she enjoys riding when she finds the time between the shop and 2 children. She also has a Shetland named Abbie for her girls and 3 dogs at home.
Harriet is our qualified SQP, which means she is able to advise you on and dispense worming medications over the counter from the shop.
Emily started working at Broomfields Farm Equestrian in 2018 and is our second full time staff member.
Emily has her own horse Sonny, an ArabX. She has had horses almost all of her life. Emily also has a diploma in horse management and a degree in Equine sports therapy!
When she's not with her horse, Emily enjoys walking her dog Maisy or having a bit of downtime at home, probably watching something on Netflix or spending time with family.
Kim joined the team in Autumn 2018.
Kim has been around horses all her life, she started riding at 5yrs old and although not fortunate enough to own her own horse now, she has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to horses.
Kim went to Otley College for 3 years and studied 3 different level 2 Diplomas - Animal Care, Animal Nursing And Equine Studies. After finishing her studies she went straight into a 2 year Apprenticeship at Catley Cross Veterinary Clinic studying an advanced level 3 Diploma in Horse Care.
Emily is also a full time staff member, she has recently returned to Broomfields Farm Equestrian after experimenting with non horsey roles - but it just wasn't for her.
Emily has owned and ridden horses since she was three years old and has never looked back .
When Emily isn't riding she can be found spending time in the countryside with her two dogs Poppy and Betty, or spending time with friends and family.
